Naturopathic Medicine
Dr. Kristen Acesta is a naturopathic physician with a doctorate from Bastyr University in Kenmore Washington. She aims first and foremost to educate her patients, inviting them into an inclusive patient-physician relationship that allows for personal growth and transformation, encouraging and empowering her patients to take charge and responsibility of their own health. Dr. Acesta focuses on our foundations of health as a means to form a solid platform on which to grow from (diet, exercise, sleep, psychology). In other words: Eat • Play • Engage
Herbal Medicine
Dr. Acesta predominately uses herbalism as a form of tangible medicine and is a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild. She co-owns and manages Salt Creek Apothecary, an herbal company focusing on local + wildcrafted medicinals. She is trained and licensed to prescribe both herbal remedies and pharmaceuticals, and is an invaluable resource on adequate usage, polypharmacy, and appropriate course of treatment.
Movement & The Internal Arts
Kristen's movement patterns are rooted in physical therapy, structure, and form, with a heavy emphasis on internal awareness. Our ability to breathe, hold intention, and move with grace is the foundation of mind body integration. This creates a base in which we can unveil deeper patterns of our being; everything from the roots of anxiety and depression to structural abnormalities and spiritual awakenings. She received her 200YTT in 2013 from 8 Limbs in Seattle, worked as an acroyoga student and teacher with Knotty Yoga from 2013-2015, opened/operated a yoga studio in Cashmere from 2017-2020, currently apprentices with Wudang Pai and Longemn Taijiquan and is completing continuing education in Pilates. She has been teaching in the valley since 2015. Her preferred style is vinyasa and yin, taught and taken as a moving meditation and internal dialog, but has since been evolving into a better power and bikram style teacher. You can find her teaching throughout the valley including these yoga locations:
